The birds are starting to sing, the tulip blossoms are poking their heads out of the ground, the sun is warming the earth’s surface a little bit more each day. Everything is coming back to life after a long cold and sleepy winter. It’s springtime!!! That means longer days, sunny spring skiing, and calves sprinkling the grassy country fields. Colorado is starting to awaken and pulse with life.Such a special time of year! This is an exciting time because we are able to start working the ground again. Garden beds are prepared seeds are planted, and we are able to connect with the earth in a different way than in the winter months. Another exciting thing to do this season is become a member of a CSA!
Farms are now excepting applications to be a member of their community supported agriculture programs. Get a box of local farm veggies each week connecting you to your community, your local farm, and your inner top chef! Apply soon because they tend to sell out fast. Many CSA send weekly newsletters, recipes, and have fun events for their CSA members too!
