Peppermint Oil As A Muscle Soother

A friend of mine recently told me about a natural remedy she uses for menstrual cramps.  She explained how rubbing essential peppermint oil on her abdomen relieved her cramping tremendously.  After doing some research I learned that peppermint oil has been used for muscle relaxation for centuries.  It can be used on aching arthritic joints and on sore muscles after exercise.  Remember to mix the oil with a carrier oil to dilute the potency before rubbing it on your abdomen and NEVER ingest the essential oil.  Next time consider this homeopathic remedy before popping the Advil!
